What’s Happening This Spring?

Easter is less than two weeks away! What are your plans? How are you going to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord?

Each year Tammy makes Easter so special for our kids and grandkids. They love coming over and love all the things Gigi prepares. This year, our staff asked if she would be willing to share an Easter tradition with the Liberty family. The team came to the house, shot a video, and it will air Sunday night at 7:00 p.m. as Traditions with “Miss” Tammy. If you need ideas for your kids, this is a great resource.

We will also have a Good Friday service at 7:00 p.m. on April 15. This is a special time for the Liberty family to remember and reflect on the cross. We will take communion and worship together as we look at all that Jesus did for us.

Then, Easter weekend we celebrate! Invite your friends and family to join you and make plans now to attend either Saturday night or Sunday morning. You can find the times for each campus location here.

The cross and resurrection is what makes Christianity different from all other religions. Like I said last week, in all other world religions, people try to work their way to God through a list of dos and don’ts. Religion is about human achievement. Christianity is about divine accomplishment. Jesus lived the perfect life we can never live. He died for our sins, was buried, and on the third day He rose from the dead. Our God is not dead, He’s alive! We have reason to celebrate!

I hope that you are being intentional in how you approach Easter this year. Make plans for your family, grab some invite cards to give to those around you, and take time to reflect and worship Jesus for who He is!
