What is 757 Strong?

I interrupt the regularly scheduled program to bring you this important message: 757 Strong Week starts this Saturday! Ha! I’m sure you’ve all heard the “interruption” phrase before for breaking news, but today, I wanted to break from our Ordinary People series and remind you about a very important week in the life of our church.

757 Strong Week is a time we set aside each year to very intentionally love on our neighbors. If you think back on ways you’ve felt most loved, often they revolve around someone doing something for you. That’s what we want to do. We want to wrap our arms around Hampton Roads and show the love, light, and life of Jesus in a tangible way.

If you don’t know where to begin, we’ve reached out to schools, crisis pregnancy centers, humanitarian agencies, our widows, and more, and have provided a list for you. You can click here, select your campus, and then see a list of all kinds of projects.

You can also look around the places you go, think about the people you interact with, and ask God to show you your own project. The goal is to share the love of Jesus!

Whether you work evenings or days, have skills or don’t, there is something for you! We can all do something. Together, we can change lives, communities, and the world for Jesus Christ!

I’m praying now that God would show you how you can help and that He would use this week in ways far beyond what we can imagine!
