Life Track Sunday

Our family’s life verse is Jeremiah 29:11 – “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” One of the things I love about this verse is that it’s clear the Lord has plans for each of us. We were created with a purpose, with intentionality, and there are things specifically meant for us to accomplish (see also Eph. 2:10). We aren’t created to live aimlessly, lost, or unfulfilled. If you feel like you are wandering, you can know there is more for you!

Our purpose may not be the same as the next person’s and their purpose may not be the same as ours. That’s OK! God has unique plans for YOU, which He has gifted and equipped YOU to do.

Additionally, God is never caught off guard, nor does He leave our lives to chance. During some of our family’s hardest seasons, this truth has been so healing. No matter what you are going through, you can trust that He has a plan and His plans for you are good. At times they may be hard, yes! But He is not aloof, nor has He forgotten you. “God is too wise to be mistaken, God is too good to be unkind, So when you don’t understand, When you don’t see His plan, When you can’t trace His hand, Trust His heart.”

Are you living out, as in daily operating in, your God-given purpose? The most fulfilled people in life are those who know God’s will for their life and are doing it.

This Sunday, the message will be on “Life Track.” I encourage you to make plans now to attend. You’ll learn more about knowing God, finding community, serving people, and leaving a legacy. You’ll learn how to know what God has gifted you to do and how you can live that out. You’ll learn how you can serve His body, the church, and how you can live for a mission and a cause greater than yourself. You’ll learn how to get your life on track.

There is such joy in doing what God has called you to do. If you’re feeling lost, discouraged, forgotten, or if you feel like quitting, don’t! God knows the plans He has for you, and they are to prosper you, not to harm you, and to give you a future and a hope.
