Our theme this Christmas is A Child Is Born, and throughout December we are looking at the miraculous births of the Bible, all leading us to the greatest miracle of all: the birth of Jesus.

As we reflect on God’s gift to us, I want to invite you to join me in giving Jesus your very best as we finish 2025 strong. Like the Wise Men who brought 3 gifts to Jesus, gold, frankincense and myrrh, I’m asking you to prayerfully consider giving three gifts to Jesus this Christmas:

General Budget

The Bible teaches the tithe, the first tenth, belongs to the Lord. As you look back over all God has provided this year, make sure you have honored Him with a minimum of a tithe to your local church. Many wonderful nonprofits will ask for support, many of them we do support through the local church, but Scripture tells us that the church is God’s plan to reach the world. Jesus loved the Church and gave Himself for her, and we are called to put His house first.

The Big Give

The Big Give fuels three major areas of impactCampus Development like the new Smithfield Campus that just had Grand Opening and the Fairview Heights Campus we hope to open in 2026. The reason we have 7 campuses all around Hampton Roads is to provide life-giving local congregations where people can find a real relationship with God. Your generosity helps us open more seats, more services, and more campuses, all so more people can know God, find community, serve people, and leave a legacy.

The Big Give is the way we fund the School of Ministry, Correctional Facility Ministry and 757 Strong partners with local missions.

Misiones Globales

At Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the savior of the world. There are billions who still need to hear the gospel. That’s why we participate in the International Missions Offering, known as the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, named after a courageous missionary who gave her life to reach the people of China.

100% of every dollar you give goes straight to the mission field. The offering supports almost 3,600 missionaries and their children. Two of our School of Ministry students who met and married at Liberty are being appointed as new missionaries this year to Asia! 1,450 new missionaries are ready and willing to go but are waiting for the funding that will send them. Your giving helps place Bibles and the Scriptures into the hands of people who have never heard the name of Jesus.

big give box

Whether you are a regular giver or even a new giver, I would encourage you to think about giving appreciated assets like stocks, bonds and even cryptocurrency. These tax advantaged strategies are beneficial for both you and our church and its good stewardship.

Church family, thank you in advance for helping us seize the moment and make the most of these God-given opportunities. Your generosity not only celebrates the true meaning of Christmas, but it also becomes an eternal investment that changes lives, communities, and the world for Jesus Christ.

Tammy and I love you and wish you and your family a Merry Christmas!
