Confidence in God’s Promises

As Jesus said, “All that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will never cast them out” (John 6:37). Confidence Through Prayer
Prayer is one of the greatest gifts God has given us. John writes, “This is the confidence we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us” (1 John 5:14). When we pray in alignment with God’s will, we can trust that He hears and answers. Prayer is more than a religious act—it’s a relationship. We can come to God with honesty, sharing our struggles, fears, and hopes, knowing He cares. As we pray, we see His faithfulness and experience His peace. Confidence by Avoiding Idols
John concludes his letter with a simple but profound statement: “Little children, guard yourselves from idols” (1 John 5:21). Idolatry isn’t just bowing down to statues; it’s putting anything—money, success, relationships—above God in our lives. True confidence comes when our hearts are fully devoted to Him. One way to guard against idolatry is through generosity. Giving reminds us that everything we have belongs to God. When we live with open hands, we align ourselves with His mission and experience the joy of trusting Him with our resources.
