Global Missions

Be a part of what God is doing in the world.

Our missions teams have a great opportunity to work alongside our partners in-country on projects that provide hope and show the love of Jesus to the local community. While on mission, team members often form lasting friendships with our partners realizing we have so much to learn from each other.

Serving on a global mission trip is an excellent way to make a difference in the world.

Matthew 28:19
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”

God commands us to go to all the nations. This command is central to our international mission efforts. While many understand this passage of scripture as a call to go to foreign countries, it is much more than that.

The word “Nations” in the Bible is the Greek word Ethnos, which does not refer to geopolitical countries. This word instead refers to ethnic groups or people groups. While there are over 11,000 ethnic groups worldwide, 6000 of those people groups are considered unreached, with little to no access to the gospel.

At Liberty, we aim to be a church that takes the gospel to those least-reached ethnic groups. We do this through partnerships with field missionaries seeking to plant churches and raise disciples in those ethnic groups.

While trips are one of the ways we support our missionaries, it goes much further than that. We want to do whatever we can to support the work with our missionary partners. Some of the ways we can help are by mobilizing other churches, providing emotional and spiritual encouragement, funding projects, and supplying resources.
