Liberty Family,
Tammy and I thank you again for your continued prayers. This season has certainly come as a surprise to us, with both of us having health issues, but we know that nothing is ever unexpected to God. He is never caught off guard and He is faithful in every season!
I want to share two things with you today. First, a reminder of His faithfulness. Over and over Scripture tells us that God is faithful. A simple dictionary.com search helps us better understand what that means:
1. true to one’s word, promises, vows, etc.
2. steady in allegiance or affection; loyal; constant: faithful friends.
3. reliable, trusted, or believed.
God keeps His promises, He remains steady in His love for us, and He can be trusted…no matter what! His faithfulness is not dependent on our feelings, our circumstances, our understanding, or our reciprocation. It’s who He is. Isaiah 25:1 says that God acts in “perfect faithfulness” and 2 Timothy 2:13 says, “If we are faithless, He remains faithful….” If you are in a difficult season, He can be trusted! Remind yourself of His promises. Remind each other of His promises. It’s easy to get discouraged, but like one of my favorite quotes from Charles Spurgeon says, “God is too wise to be mistaken. God is too good to be unkind. So when you don’t understand, when you don’t see his plan, when you can’t trace His hand, trust His heart.” He is faithful and He is good!
Additionally, I want to mention what a blessing it has been for us to stay connected online. Summer is approaching and if you are going to be out on vacation, I want to encourage you to worship with us online. It’s not the same as being in the room, but it certainly is such a joy when you can’t be physically present. The services are broadcast live each week at 9:00 and 10:45 a.m. If you aren’t able to watch at those times, the service is immediately posted on our Facebook page and YouTube. You can watch the same day, at a time that works for you. (We also keep older messages up on our website at libertylive.church/messages.) Don’t let time away keep you away from church! We all need each other and need to stay connected in corporate worship. It has sure been a blessing to us!
Thank you for your continued prayers! We are so grateful for your love and support!
It is a joy to be your Pastor!
