Welcome to 21 Days of Prayer at Liberty Live Church! Every August and January, we dedicate 21 days to seek God together. Why 21? Because Daniel fasted and prayed for three weeks while living in exile in Babylon—and God responded. We may not live in Babylon, but Peter reminds us that we too are exiles in this world. Like Daniel, we are called to be faithful in a faithless culture. If it worked for Daniel, it’ll work for us.
“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” – James 4:8
This season is more than just a spiritual reset after summer. It’s about restoring your rhythm and experiencing revival. Our desire is that when people come looking for God, they find Him—not just us.
More Than a Prayer List, Build a Prayer LifePrayer connects us to God. Fasting disconnects us from the world. As we kick off our new series based on James 4, we invite you to go deeper:
- Week 1: The Preparation of Prayer
- Week 2: The Petitions of Prayer
- Week 3: The Praise of Prayer
Week 1: The Preparation of Prayer
James teaches us that if we want to draw near to God, we must first deal with what keeps us away: dirty hands, defiled hearts, and double minds.
1. Prepare Your Spirit
Victory begins in the spiritual. Read the Word. Pray the Word. Worship through the Word. Everything changes in the presence of the Lord.
2. Prepare Your Soul
Worry, negativity, unforgiveness, and comparison poison the soul. Guard your thoughts, filter your media intake, and fast from what hinders your mind and emotions.
3. Prepare Your Body
Fasting reminds us that our bodies belong to God. Whether a full fast, a Daniel fast, or a soul fast, the goal is surrender. What we starve dies. What we feed thrives.
Draw Near to God, Relationally and Personally
God doesn’t want spiritual activity. He wants spiritual intimacy. This is not about checking off a religious box. It’s about truly meeting with God each day.
“You are as close to God as you want to be.”
If you don’t know Jesus, draw near today by putting your faith in Him. He already knows everything about you and still loves you. The cross proves it.
Take the First Step
Start with us at the altar. Join us every morning at 6 AM for prayer. Bring your Bible, a journal, and a heart that says, “God, I’m all in.”When we work, we work. But when we pray, God works.
Prayer of Salvation
If you’re ready to draw near to God, pray this:
God, I repent of my sins. I surrender my life to you. I give you everything. I believe Jesus died and rose again for me. I confess Him as Lord. Come live in me, Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name, amen.
If you prayed that prayer, let us know here. We would love to walk with you in your faith journey and get you connected at one of our campuses.
