The Big Give funds our Campus Development, School of Ministry, and 757 Strong local mission projects. Here are some examples of how your gifts will be used:
Campus Development
Vision: Build life-giving local congregations across Hampton Roads where people find a real relationship with God. We see this tangible difference by opening more seats at more services in more locations. Your generosity will help us keep these projects moving forward.
Smithfield Campus: Groundbreaking was November 17, and the site has begun clearing and grading.
- $10K per seat (500 seats) will close the gap between the estimated cost and cash on hand.
York River Campus: We are working on a design for a 500 seat Worship Center.
Gloucester Campus: We are looking for property or a church to merge with Liberty.
Fairview Heights Campus: We completed the merger process through the courts and are working on the design and cost of remodel.
School of Ministry
Vision: Liberty’s School of Ministry exists to train world-class servant leaders through our full-time residency and part time bi-vocational programs.
- $25K covers a student’s scholarship and housing for one year.
- $325K would give scholarship to all 12 full-time residents and 2 bi-vocational students.
757 Strong
Vision: Serve the practical needs of our cities so they open their hearts to God.
This offering funds our ministry to local missions like Spanish Ministry and Correctional Facilities Ministry.
- $1,550 will purchase the device and translation service for one campus for one year.
- $10,510 per year pays for two language translations for all campuses.
Recently, we had guests who do not speak English, hear the gospel in Spanish and Russian. This new technology enables people in Hampton Roads to hear the gospel in their native language!
Correctional Facilities – 2,216 people served in ten facilities from Richmond to the North Carolina line.
Worship Services, Bible Studies, Christmas Blessing Bags
- $8 will purchase one Christmas Blessing Bag ($16 value).
- $1,800 will purchase Christmas Blessing Bags for one facility.
This month, we had two men saved through the Worship Services/Bible Studies whose first touch was the Christmas Blessing Bags last year. Generosity opens hearts to the gospel.
