Amazing things happen when we join God in His plan to take the gospel to places where the gospel is not accessible. That is why we are pleased to be able to offer scholarships to those who have never been on a mission trip.

While we do not expect everyone who goes on a mission trip to be called to missions, our hope is that God will do great things in their life due to this trip.

Here are the guidelines and application for the scholarship fund.

• Eligibility Requirements:
  • Be a believer and follower of Jesus Christ
  • A person who makes Liberty their home church, showing regular attendance over the last year
  • Regular attendance is determined by one or more of the following using our computer database as a reference:
    •  Attendance in a group
    • Volunteer work in the church
    • Giving
    • Connection Card responses
  • A person requesting the scholarship must complete an application and be approved by the mission pastor and the trip leader.
• A first-time mission trip attendee will receive a 50% scholarship for a mission trip with Liberty. This does not apply to trips with other organizations or churches.
  • They are required to raise or pay for 50% of the trip
  • The scholarship of 50% is applied after the participant raises the first 50%
  • The 50% amount is based on the trip participant’s total cost
  • Failure to raise the participant’s 50% portion by the appointed time frame could cause the participant to wait for another trip

Note: Once money has been raised and donated to Liberty, that money cannot be refunded. It will, however, be held for another trip should something happen and the participant cannot attend the trip.

• A second-time Liberty trip participant will receive 35% of the total trip cost scholarship.
  • They are required to raise or pay the other 65% of the trip
  • The 35% is applied only after the participant raises the first 35%
  • The 35% amount is based on the trip participant’s total cost
  • Failure to raise the participant’s 65% portion by the appointed time frame could cause the participant to wait for another trip

One of our goals at Liberty is to help young people who are sensing a calling to missions to move forward in that calling. That is why we are excited to offer a new scholarship program for young people who make Liberty their home church.

Here are the qualifications for this scholarship:

1. Ages 18 to 29 years of age.
2. Single
3. Members or regular attendees of Liberty Live church for the past year.

Scholarships are based on the following criteria:

1. The trip must be a summer program run by the International Mission Board (IMB) or the North American Mission Board (NAMB). You can see what trips are available here:

   • North American Mission Board
2. Liberty will pay 60% of your trip up to $2750 for International Service and $1400 for National service.
3. The money will be available after each participant has raised their portion of the funds.
4. Any money raised for this trip and donated through Liberty is non-refundable.
