Christmas is just over two weeks away! I’m so excited about the opportunities we have ahead of us.
First, our Christmas Eve services start on December 23 at 6:30 p.m. There will also be two services on December 24th, at 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. More people are open to coming to church at Christmas than any other time of year. We’ve planned a very special and worshipful time and I pray that you will be inviting as many people as you can to join us.
Our focus as a church for the end of 2022 and for 2023 is to gather the people. We want people to come back to church and we want them gathering together in person. The ultimate purpose in our gathering though is to reach people. We gather to scatter. We are here for those who are not yet here.
We will have lots of opportunities to gather together on the 23rd and 24th as a church family. Then, on the 25th, we have a unique opportunity to reach family that may never come to a church building. Christmas Day is not on Sunday often, and there is something so special about it when it is! We are taking advantage of the Sunday date to invite our family members to watch with us online at home. The service has been planned intentionally to include all the children from all campuses. It will be no more than 30 minutes, the gospel will be clearly shared, and it will be a great opportunity to make memories and share Jesus with your family. It will show at 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and then will be on-demand after that. It will be the best family Christmas ever!
Starting this Sunday, I’ll be preaching on evangelism and will be giving specific tools for witnessing to family and friends. The plan is for Christmas day to be a chance to put it into practice.
God’s plan for reaching the nations and the people around us is you and me. Please pray with me that God would use us this Christmas to reach people for Him!
